Unexpectedly, Sunday forenoon, I ended up heading off to Columbia to visit the Islam mosque. I had been e-mailing Nabihah ski binding and forth all weekend trying to figure forbidden a schedule to come visit. So, coming Sunday morning I had finally received an e-mail at 10:30 saying I could run into up with Mahir. E-mailing Nabihah, I asked her for the address, what to wear to the mosque, and how to run into Mahir. She responded quickly with the address, what to wear, and a side line that the mosque is separated between men and women and would be difficult for me to meet and tour with Mahir in the mosque, but to go ahead contact him anyway.
After driving to Columbia and pulling up to the mosque, I finally reached Mahir and he had told me a tour would not be best or really possible and that he was really sorry, but he would prefer to meet in the MU scholar Center. So, where did I go? Technically the MU Student Center, but I had visited the outside of the mosque long enough to notice the distinct features that Nabihah had draw in her presentation. I had not had the chance to enter the mental synthesis let alone attend their service, but my detailed interview with Mahir went very well and he proudly answer and explained any question I had to ask.
