The Hindenburg was and still is the worlds largest object of all time to fly. It was named after Germanys former president General capital of Minnesota Von Hindenburg. In its time of 1973 it was a revolution having both speed up and luxury, it could go at speeds unheard of and for most they could only fantasy of going on it. Tragically, today it is remembered not for how it was so amazing, scarcely for how it crashed and burned.

The Hindenburg was so big that when most people looked at it they effective shook their head in wonder. It was 803.8 feet long and would make a Boeing 747 look tiny.

On the flight of its demise it was not the Hindenburgs first flight, it had already flown multiple times from Germany and Brazil simply this flight was the first trip to America. It was, of course very expensive, be $405 which then was about as much as a car had been. It took off in a field not far from its hanger at Frankfurt airport, the weather was bad but still people came in the rain to watch the launch. It had been some full on recent flights, but this time it was slight than half full with only 36 passengers along with the crew. any passenger had their luggage inspected for anything that might cause a lighter or electric charge as the Hindenburg was inflated with atomic number 1 which is highly explosive.





The take off was well organised. There were teams of work force holding ropes when the Hindenburg was released from its moorings and at the captains signal they let go and slowly the airship would rise. When it was a little office up there was a cry of Up ship which at that signal 600 pounds (roughly 272kg) of water stored in tanks was released. Some spectators who were to constrictive got hit by the water as the Hindenburg rose without the tiniest milk shake into the air.
